Climbing π§π»ββοΈ
I've come to enjoy indoor climbing. It's been about a year since I started, although I'm still a beginner, I find the problem-solving aspect of each route both mentally and physically rewarding. I've been working on improving my grip strength and hanging endurance. Some of the tougher climbs even sneak into my dreams!
U.S. Politics & Society πΊπΈ
Beyond my research, I enjoy keeping up with American politics. Living in the U.S. has made it engaging to observe how policies and public discourse shape the society here. It's fascinating to see how debates and decisions unfold, especially as someone experiencing it from both an insider and outsider perspective.
Three cities/towns a year πΊοΈ
New (to me) cities and towns -- each place carries its own pace, shaped by the people who live there, the weather (heat and humidity!) they live with, and the culture they've built over time. I try to visit at least three new places every year. I'm drawn to public gathering spaces, local food scenes, and subtle ways people adapt to their environments. I like joining walking tours led by locals, which are often full of small stories I wouldn't find on my own.
