[2b] Specialization Diary

Observe three scenes of “division of labor” in your daily life this week and make a brief note of them. They do not have to be economic activities. They can happen anywhere, e.g., home, at your part-time job, at a café, on the street, in our classroom, on public transportation, or in news articles. For each scene, briefly write down the following items:

a. Provide description of the observed situation (3 sentences maximum). When, where, and who was playing what role?

b. Summary of each person/role’s tasks. How were the roles divided among each other?

c. Why do you think this division of labor occurred? E.g., time savings, technical efficiency, comparative advantage, equipment constraints, etc.
