[G] Health investment by people of different ages

Pre-class assignment Each group interviews 2 people of different ages (10-20s, 30-40s, 50-60s, 70+) about:

• How much time/money they spend on health per week
• What motivates their health behaviors (feeling good now vs. future)
• Their biggest health concerns
• Trade-offs they make between work and health

In-class analysis

• Plot health investment by age from interview data
• Identify patterns matching Grossman predictions
• Discuss: Why do older people spend more money but younger people spend more time on health?
• Create age-specific health production functions
